Booey decided to set this evening out, can't say as I blame him. Chase and me headed to the blind around 4pm and there was a hen already in the hayfield. It was right in front of our groundblind. 
We snuck into the woods and got to where it was, but it had moved out into the middle of the field. Chase snuck out to the edge of the woods and I thought he was getting ready to shoot, so I say "Wait!" I drop the legs to the tripod and get on the bird and say "Ok, I'm on it." The bird walks to the right, I can't see it anymore, then he shoots. It was a clean miss at a bird that was to far out. We get in the blind and watch it rain until around 7, then go out to find his arrow. He was sick about his $25 dollar miss (arrow, broadhead, lumenok) but luckily we found it in the field. 
Can't wait til morning and try it again!

Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
