I think I'm done going to the Jan. show and possibly the March. These 2 seem to be the most crowded of the shows. I went to the June show last year and got right in with no problems and hardly no crowd; it was nice. The next gun show I'll go to will be the one in Dugger (March 10-11). I talked to the bro in law of the guy who runs the Dugger show and he said they had 1600 people go through that building last year. For such a small show it really brings in a crowd. He also has a waiting list of vendors who are trying to get a spot.
Both AR's are chambered for 5.56/.223. I'm still debating the whole 458 socom build for the next one. Even though my next purchase will be something of a slightly bigger caliber. ; ) Come on tax check!

Have you given any thought to the 6.5 Creedmor round?

It's not a bad round but it doesn't fall into Indiana's regulations on legal case length for deer hunting. Even with the proposed bill it still won't make the cut. The new max length is 1.8" and the Creedmoor is 1.9 something. So close! Actually, now that I think about it...the bullet diameter isn't big enough.

When we got there that's exactly what we were thinking. Since we didn't make it when the doors opened we should've went Sunday instead. My buddy had to wait for the bank to open at 9am to get cash out. Then we stopped at IHOP in Terre Haute.

picked up another toy he other day. Not for defense, but just something to plink around with. Its a Grendel P10 380acp. No clip, it double stacks 10 rounds right into the grip, which is pretty cool. If i ever were going to carry it as say an ankle or pocket gun, I would'nt have to worry about some pesky clip release catching and dumping the clip. anyways, just thought I would show it off a little.

Not bad. There are some people out there that believe the 380 is the perfect carry gun. I however, am not one of them. Like you, if I bought one it would be for plinking.

I could deffinately see it being used as a "GOOD" BACKUP gun, but like you, not the "PERFECT" CARRY gun. I lean more towards something that has just the right elements of what I see as a perfect ccw. (MY OPINION) Has to be simple to use, has to be powerful to a point, it has to be reliable, and it has to be comfortable. If I find one that meets those criteria, then I have no problem carrying it as a self defense ccw.
on a side note, THEY SURE ARE FUN THOUGH!

Nice VTR. I got a late start with the taxes and I'm still not sure what I'm even getting back. One of those would look good in the safe.

Currently its a center point 4x16x40mm but I'm looking at a NIKON around the same dimensions. I picked the center point up since a buddy has one on his Inline. It is clear and mil-dot, doing good for now.
