I’m off work all next week & it looks to be pretty warm out for shooting & keeping a deer cool so my question is where are some good deer processing places around Sullivan. Vincennes & Terre Haute aren’t to far to travel too. I get burger & my favorite is jalapeño summer sausage. Last year the place I was using went to a liquid style cheese in the summer sausage & I didn’t care for it , hoping somewhere down here does a good job. Thanks

The only place I've taken deer to is John May between Linton and Jasonville. But he doesn't make sausage or anything. He's always been cheap and done a good enough job. I think it was only 60 or 80 bucks the last time I had him do one a couple years ago. He is at 5964 SR 59 Linton.
A couple other popular places seem to be Wabash Clay Custom Meats in Clay City and Pohlman custom killing & processing around Prairie Creek. I've heard good things about both places but don't have any personal experience with them. I think they both make sausages.
GOOD LUCK!

I just recently found out about a processor a few miles from me in Terre Haute. I bought a 1/4 beef off of him, and when I went to his place to pay him he showed me his set up. Pretty friggin sweet! $90 for regular processing, and he does sausage as well (jalapeño and regular). Not sure about pricing on the sausage, but he said everyone that gets it loves it. Thinking about popping a doe this fall just to try it. His name is Earl Hann, and he’s located SE of Hulman airport. Said he doesn’t advertise, gets all the business he wants through word of mouth. His number is 812-249-9240 if you’re interested.
