I was fishing since I could walk but not for the bigger fish just for bluegill at first then start moving up.

Capt Rick, welcome to BB&B. I did a September canoe trip into the boundary waters North of Ely, MN a few years ago. We landed several nice smallies in the 3-4 lb. range, but nothing like that. That's a HAWG!!!

We also filled our bellies with cold water wallies every night.

Can't wait until April!!
