I got to the stand at about 3 this afternoon planning to sit till dark. It's only the second time I've been out this season. I tried last weekend and saw 4 does and a button buck. It's still a little warm for deer hunting but it was a pretty nice day to be in a tree. I hadn't seen a thing until about 4:30 and I hear some yelping behind me. I have a flock of around 12 hens come to the field in front of me. I picked one out and made a good 23 yard shot. It was my first turkey with a bow. 
I thought about waiting for a deer but decided it was best to get it home and cleaned with it being warm out. I didn't get any video of the hunt. I've had some camera trouble so I've been going "cameraless" for the first time ever. I have to say it is really nice not toting cameras and equipment in the tree. It is a lot of work trying to film yourself, but it is very rewarding when you can actually get footage of a successful hunt.
