I prefer a good spinning reel over anything else, but my fishing partner just doesn't like them. She'll use a spinning reel or baitcaster if that's all we have at the time, but she doesn't really care for them. I decided to think outside the box for Valentine's Day and get her the best spincast reel on the market to try out instead of her Zebco 33's. When I started my research I figured I'd end up with a Abu Garcia or possibly a Daiwa. Turns out Zebco makes a high end spincast that has better reviews than any others that I looked at. What I ended up getting is a Zebco Omega Pro Z02. It comes with a double and single reel handle, extra spool, and is pre-spooled with Cajun 6# test(which I'll probably replace.) Best price I found was $60 for a new one on eBay, so it's about double the price of a good 33. I'll let you know how it works and if it's worth the price. Just wondering if anyone on here has tried the Zebco Omegas? Or the Abu Garcia Abumatic, Daiwa Goldcast, or Pflueger President? (Hopefully she won't see this post before Tuesday.)

I'm with you, Troy. I almost always use a spinning reel anymore so I can't help you with your question, but I am really interested in hearing your review of Omega Pro.
