Yay! Power outages suck, in my book! Our neighborhood has underground power lines, so it doesn't happen often. I'm feeling pretty lucky because we were only out Thursday-Saturday. Thousands in the area are without power still today. Our power went out a lot when I was growing up but I don't ever remember it being out for days on end like seems to be the new normal.  |

Got the coop moved the other day. It went smooth other than I got attacked by the rooster when I was catching the hens. 🤬 Pretty sure I got it all on video. 🙄  |

So we hadn't got any eggs in months. Two days ago we got 1 and there was another one today. Guess one of our hens loves cold weather! The egg today had actually froze and busted so I threw it to Daffy for a snack.  |

I incubated some eggs recently and only got 1 chick. Bought 4 at Rural King to go with it. I had them in a tote in the modular but they got to stinking quick! Found this old rabbit or bird cage and set them up in the pole barn. Much better!   |

Hatched another batch of eggs and have 3 chicks so far. I think I forgot to mention this before but I've been using the spare geeni camera as a "chick cam" so I can check in on them live. 😂  |

Was really hoping that "Solo" from our first hatching would be a hen but it sure isn't looking like it. This thing is huge! 😂 It sure looks like a Barred Rock but the guy I got the eggs from says he doesn't have any of those? Weird.  |
