We've been working on the cabin again. Seems like we always have 10,000 things going on and projects get pushed aside. Hopefully this time we can stay focused on the cabin until it's complete. We got the cracks filled in the floor and used some ez leveler stuff. The carpet and rest of the vinyl should be done this weekend. Then it's installing the kitchen and cabinets and bathroom vanity and toilet.

Looking good! If you ever need some help, let me know. I'd come down for a long weekend of construction and fishing.

BTW, who donated the deer head? Those are Gail's dad's and brother's. Out here right now burning some limbs and stuff. Looking kinda cosey!

Went to the ponds for a bit just before dark this evening. Gail fished the woods pond from the boat and I fished the other. I got into the gills and probably caught a dozen on a white beetle spin. Gail was using live bait and didn't catch as many but they had better size.

Went to the woods pond this evening and kept 8 fat crappie that Gail is frying up as I type. Caught on Big Bite Baits jigs and beetle spin tipped with beemoth. Also caught several bass and bluegill.

Stopped at a yardsale up the road today and picked up an old jetski trailer for $75. I think it will be the perfect size for Gail's Pelican jonboat. Gonna try to set it up to where I can use it for the boat or kayak.

I think it will be. He had it for $100 but he couldn't find the title so he offered to drop the price. He said if he does find the title it will still be $75. He had bought it to make a kayak trailer but never got around to it. He mentioned that his kayaks were all in Florida anyhow at a place called Crystal River and I knew exactly where he was talking about. That's one of the places on my bucket list to fish and it's also where you can pick up scallops during the season. It's only about 60 miles due west of my place. We got to talking and he was recently widowed. It was pretty heartbreaking to listen to. Him and his wife had just retired and spent their first winter in Florida and then she passed away. I hear these stories way to often. I went home and told Gail about the stuff he had and she wanted to go back even though she hasn't been feeling well. He had a really nice gas golf cart with a new lift kit, tires, and wheels that Gail would have probably bought, but it was gone when we got there. He does still have a super nice 2017 Ford Coachmen mini motorhome for sale for $45,000 that is like new if anyone is looking. It's got the Ford EcoBoost 6 cylinder in it and only has 8,000 miles. We did pick up a toolbox, big Plano box, and a welded stand Gail wants to make a bench out of for cheap.
