The fling is in the books and even with the bad weather, it was still a success and a great time! A big thanks to Patrick for organizing the event and another one to each one that showed up from near and far. It was definitely a pleasure! Here's a few pics from my phone, I guess I was to busy to snap a pic of Friday's feast, but I know a lot of cell phones were out so hopefully someone will post a pic of that. Saturday morning breakfast that was kickass! We finally got a small break from the rain Saturday evening and Chewy, Mark, and myself drove over to the Kickapoo boat docks and managed some decent gills and redear. With the miserable weather, we decided to move Saturday night's feast to a sweet shelter house a few hundred yards from the cabins. This morning Chewy and myself packed up and headed to a beautiful little pit called "Star Lake" in Greene-Sullivan. At one point I told Matt; "I just gotta check that hill for shrooms." Walked up the hill and picked 4, but the view was even better! If we wanted a mess of fish today we could have had it. This will be a pit I'll visit again. Looking forward to the next get together!

Had a great time! Already looking forward to next year's event. Like I told Troy when we were fishing yesterday...the rain on Saturday allowed all of us to get to spend a lot more time together than we would have if we were all out fishing. So, the rain wasn't such a bad thing. It was kind of nice hanging around the fire and telling stories. The food was fantastic all weekend long! Kudos to Patrick for doing a fantastic job of organizing this event. And, of course, a big thanks to my buddy Troy for cooking up some fantastic eats. Here is a pic of the Friday night's feast...this may need to become an annual tradition!
