I think the only way to make up for this travesty is taking Greenedog and myself out for a walleye excursion on LOTW. THAT'S THE BEST IDEA I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME!

I think we're being ignored, Eli.

I think the only way to make up for this travesty is taking Greenedog and myself out for a walleye excursion on LOTW. THAT'S THE BEST IDEA I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME! That sounds like a great idea but the walleye in this lake have been a challenge for me. I can't guarantee that if you guys come up here that we would catch a thing. It seems like I have one good outing out of every 10-15 attempts. But, we would have fun regardless Update on the musky issue...My buddy talked to a guy that is heavily involved with anything that happens at LOTW and asked him when the last time was that he had heard of a musky being caught there. He said there was a bass tournament there last year and two guys both said they lost muskies that day in very different areas of the lake. 2 years ago a couple of muskies were caught and they were checked by the DNR and it was confirmed that they were not of the tiger musky strain. This lake was only stocked with tiger musky back when they were stocking it. So, either some musky have slipped in when they have done the walleye stockings or someone put some true musky in there?? This has been an interesting bit of research. I'm excited to know that there is possiblity of a few muskies left in that lake!

Went back to LOTW last night to try my luck at some more 'eyes. I left smelling like skunk again These fish are frustrating ! The wind was brutal and I didn't even last til dark cuz I was marking very few fish on the graph. I did however get one to bite in a way that I've never had happen before. I was bouncing my jig right down near the bottom in 30' of water and nothing was happening. I started reeling my jig up so that I could move to a different hole and when hit about the 20' mark on my graph I saw a mark come up off the bottom and in an instant it swam right to my jig. I stopped reeling and he smashed it instantly but then he got right off. I have no idea what it was but that is the fastest I've ever seen a line move on my flasher . I gotta admit, I'm ready for the ice to be done. The problem is we have about 20" of ice and it was making some at a rapid pace while I was fishing last night. We might be ice fishing until mid april this year

That's pretty wild. Any guesses? Pike? Musky?

That's pretty wild. Any guesses? Pike? Musky? Honestly, I have no clue. It didn't feel all that big either. I kind of wonder if maybe it was a perch

That lake have stripers, wipers, or white bass? I've marked some crazy vertical fish movement on Raccoon before and figured it was stripers or whites.
