Chase and me went up to Terre Haute this evening to watch the ISU Sycamores "shock" the undefeated WSU Shockers, but they came up a bit short. They definitely had a chance even though they shot poorly all evening. They were within 2 with just a couple minutes to go and then proceeded to hit only 50% from the line down the stretch. The view from the cheap seats. About 5 minutes into the game it was filled up pretty good. I think there was officially 9,200...about a thousand shy of capacity. That's the biggest crowd I've seen there since I was in the stands in November of 2000 and watched Michael Menser sink two 3-pointers in the last 8 seconds to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers. Frenchy now attends ISU and Chase sent him a text asking if he was attending the big game. He was at a night class that let out early and joined us. We did have a good time even in a loss. Sorry about my cheap cell phones crappy pics.

Did you see any of the WSU fans throwing up the shocker sign? I was watching one of their NCAA tournament games years ago and saw a group of their fans doing that and it cracked me up.
I love watching games in the Hulman Center, not a bad seat in the house in my opinion. I really miss the good old days of going up there for the high school basketball regional and semi state.

No, the small group of fans that flew in with the team looked like they were probably grandparents of the players. I agree about watching the games at Hulman Center...I was telling Chase about Shakamak beating a top ten ranked Terre Haute South team in the regionals back in the day on the way home.
