Just shot a big one. Pretty gnarly looking dark colored rack. Getting a bite to eat and then headed out to do the fun part. Pictures and update coming soon.
I had been hunting a tall tined pearly white racked buck all season, but decided to try a different location tonight. Had seen 4 does earlier when this brute walked through. He came through at about 50 yards with no shot so I grunted until he heard me. Changed course and jumped a fence coming my way, I watched him make a scrape then he started to walk off again. Grunted again and he turned and came broadside at 15 yards. Shot him with my PSE Xforce and a Rage 2 blade tipped carbon express hunter maxima. Hadn't seen this buck at all. He has split brow tines on both sides with the left beam's being over 10 inches. I guess you would call him a 12 pointer though he has all kinds of stickers and unbelievable mass. I thought he had a second beam on his left side when I walked up to him but his eye gaurds just start right at the bases.
