Coydog? Or it might just be shadows giving it the different markings. That looks like an awesome spot to call in a yote.

I've seen black coyotes before, so it could be a color phase of some sort.

Not so funny color phase story. My brother was discing the other day and said a coyote jumped out of the weeds right under the tractor tire. He got out to look and saw it was full black as he thought. Didn't take a picture or keep it because he thought it was sick,

Hahaha, nice. I'm sure its a coydog. Seen it again today in the day light, but it was fairly close. It looks like a husky or german shepard mixed with a coyote. It trots like a yote, slightly different from a domestic dog. If he crosses me while hunting, we will have a closer look. I'll take him out.
