After Chase's open house Saturday, we had some family and friends hanging out in the garage consuming some adult beverages and I broke out the fryer to cook up the wings that Chase had requested. I've been making garlic parmesan wings lately and this batch was my best yet and they were getting ate as soon as I pulled them out of the sauce. Anyhow, I got done with the wings and started looking around at all the food left over from the open house and I decided to do a little experimenting. There was quite a few "pinwheels" left over, you know...the tortilla-ham-cream cheese things rolled up then sliced. Well, I dropped a few in the grease for 20 or 30 seconds and pulled them out...and they were delicious! Reminded me of a meat and cheese marshmallow. Crispy on the outside and soft and melty on the inside and they just melted in your mouth. I ended up frying every one of them up and every one of them got ate. They were especially good dipped in the leftover wing sauce. I'm thinking about making some more just to fry!
