I'd like to try the park in Terre Haute and see what the fishing is like there. A guy at work and me were talking about it a while back. Might hit it after work one night. If you do let me know, be good to shoot a video with all us in it.

I'm thinking about heading back out there on Saturday morning if anyone wants to meet up.
I'd also be down to hit some place in the Forest.

Yeah, Saturday schedule iffy right now. Will know for sure tomorrow evening. I went back out to Island this evening and fished it for 2 hours. Went 0-2. Lost the first one really quick. The second one shook off 10 feet from the bank.

What were you using for bait?

Had zero hits on orange dough bait. One hit was on a bright green rooster (kinda yellowish) and the other was with a yellow fly attached to an inline spinner (aka Joe's Flies on BPS website).

Oh yeah, no work tomorrow but a late night is ahead of me helping the same buddy with another project. Doubt I'll get up early. Might get out there in the afternoon though.

I went down to the forest to see if I could pull one out of Airline today. Stepped out of the truck and the gnats swarmed my face and I hadn't thought to bring the vanilla. Put on some sunglasses to keep them out of my eyes and fished a while. No takers other than a keeper gill on the little yellow rooster tail. I tell ya....I fished Airline some this fall and winter and never had an issue, but what I saw today disgusted me. The place has been trashed. Water bottles, those little Kool-Aid Jammers packets were everywhere, McDonald's stuff, fishing stuff and line, cigarette butts on the ground and in the water....the place was just trashed. What in the HELL is wrong with people? Not sure what I'd do if I caught someone doing this....but I'd probably end up in jail. I used to bring an old bucket with me to pick up the worthless a-holes trash, but it actually hasn't been that bad the past couple years. Today made up for it. I was going to pick up the trash and put it in the dip net until I saw a micky d's wrapper that it looked like someone had used as toilet paper. Guess I need to bring bio-hazard gear to go frickin fishing!!! Sorry for the rant.

It's amazing the total disrespect people have for our great outdoors. I keep trash bags under the seat of my truck just for these occasions. Thankfully I rarely find places up here that are trashed. The only place I ever have any trouble up here is when I fish my local river. However, when I am in Greene-Sullivan it seems to be a way too common of a problem.

I thought it was bad at Minnehaha with the group to our right. The dad went to another spot and asked the kids if they picked up their trash. They said they did, but I picked up a couple of things they didn't feel the need to take with them.
It is a shame that people don't appreciate the public places we are provided.

I picked up about a quarter of a bucket in the one spot last night. I picked up probably five of the lids you peel off the jar of dough bait. It does, but shouldn't, amaze me that people just don't care.
