it doesn't have to be big, just a fish. and explain a little bit about how you got it etc.

I'm not the authority here but I'm sure any legal means of taking a fish would count. Troy, your thoughts?

I had an idea for a rule change. Considering that the last two years have had largemouth bass as the winners, I think that it should have to be a different fish species every year. No back to backs. That would make us all fish harder for other species. Just a thought.

I'd hate to restrict ourselves to what we can catch. It is after all suppose to be the "most impressive catch by a member" and that's just happened to be a largemouth the first 2 years. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

The past two years Monster largemouths have been entered, and although i plan on catching another It has just happened to be largemouth. One of the brutom fisherman is bound to win soon with one of those ungodly carp

I just think that some of the other species don't get the votes when up against huge largemouth. I don't know. Just thought I'd bring it up and see what people thought. Guess we will have to see what happens this year.

I think one thing you could do is try to get a wide aray of judges/voters. A bass fisherman may be more impressed with a bass than a carp, and a carp fisherman would be vice versa. So i guess what im saying is try to get an even amount of bass/catfish/musky/carp/ice fisherman, etc. or as much as possible knowing that most fisherman fish for lots of species.
