Had a dr. appointment today so I took off this morning to hunt. Saw six including a little buck I let pass. Saw a biggun on the way to my app. then went back this evening. Hunted some property we have on the river, it requires a 4X4 and a 1/2 mile drive off the main road to get to our property. I get back there and settle into a tree with a lot of promise. Wind is perfect and there is a ton of buck sign in the area. I just get settled in the tree when this dog shows up and lays down right under my tree. I start throwing things at it trying to get it to leave, including my grunt call which it picks up and carry's about 15 feet before it drops it then returns under my stand and appears to take a nap. It lays there all afternoon, needless to say I get down early because there is no way I will get a shot with that thing hanging around unless it sleeps through the whole thing, plus I wanted to retrieve my grunt call. The dog follows me back to my truck and to add insult to injury it Pi$$es all over my tires then runs right in my headlights all the way back to the road. That thing is lucky I like dogs. From my tree stand.

He was just looking for a friend. I'm sure the tire incident was retaliation for getting hit with a grunt tube.

That is funny. But dogs that chase deer off really piss me off. For the past 3 years we have had a pack of dogs running deer all over the place on our 200 acres. ANd obviously no deer is going to put up with that every day. LAst year i walked to the persons house and politely told them about the problem and told them when i wwould be hunting and if they could do something with their dogs. For about a week or 2 there were no dogs and then they came back. Just saw them the other day when i was back there on the tractor. They are buttt UGLY. THe person who owns them just takes them in feeds them and they just run loose all day.. idk what i am gonna do. Maybe ill catch one of em and give it a whippin. Putting up a fence wouldnt be cheap.
