Me and the family met my mom and stepdad in Gatlinburg, TN for a little 4 day getaway. We stayed at my their timeshare resort called Mountainloft Resort. It was an ok place to stay but not spectacular. However, it was free so I LOVED IT

!! and I'm not going to complain. The weather was gorgeous on Friday and Saturday with bluebird skies and highs near 80. Saturday was cool with light mist and hazy most of the day. Tonight and tomorrow they have blizzard warnings out from effects of Hurricane Sandy! We got out of there just in time!

The fall colors were in full force but we were about a week late in our timing.

Me, my son and stepdad went ziplining on Friday. We had a great time! This was my second time ziplining. They had some really long lines that crossed some deep hollers (that's what they're called there)

And did some horseback riding with my youngest son as well

Ive been up there once. Went fly fishing in some of the mountain streams. Pretty frekin awesome. Crystal clear water, big trout, and boulders the size of cars in some of the streams.
Also saw 2 bears, a bunch of long beards, and saw a 12 point buck standing in the road with velvet on his rack. The 2 best places ive been to would be South dakota and Tennessee. We have been up to South dakota 5 or 6 times atleast and there is some good fishing up there..Pretty too

Buddy of mine got married last Saturday and they are honeymooning in Gatlinburg right now. Hope they enjoy snow.

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
