My son Jack comes up to me this afternoon and wanted to go fishing. I didn't think we would do any good, do to the bluebird skys. But what the heck, so we loaded up the truck and went anyways. We went to a local lake and started casting thumper jigs and he landed a decent bass right off the bat. A little later he says he's got another one and says "it's a big one dad, oh man!" So I walk over by him and see his ultra lite is bent pretty good and think it's just another bass, until it finally comes to the surface and see those marble eyes starring at me. He worked it like a champ! All I did was take the hook out for him he did all the rest. I'm super proud of him to say the least! It ended up being 18-/12" and after a quick pick we released him to get bigger.
daybreak: Can't think of a better place to take it easy then Astor. Good to hear things were fine.

Greenedog: Had a heart cath today. Everything is fine but I can't do much for a week so I think we'll just fly south and chill.

Greenedog: Yes but now I'm on my swing of working 6 out of 7 days working 12 hour shifts with a switch from days to nights in the middle. Whoever come up with this schedule was a psycho!

Greenedog: Hey, I'm always open to a BB&B Fishtogether! LOL. If my work stays fully staffed I might get a little more time off this year and maybe we can do a meet up? Allegiant flights are cheap. I have no plans to move either, other than being a snowbird some day.

goosepondmonster: So...you are either moving down there or you are opening it up for the BB&B Florida Fishtogether.
