Caught an awesome show at the Egyptian Room in Indy Tuesday night, Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The man is simply amazing with a guitar. It was a standing room only show so we got priority passes for an extra $10 to be up front so my vertically challenged wife would be able to see. Got front and center with Slash shredding less than 10 feet from us. Also loved the opening act, Foxy Shazam. Highly recommend seeing them live if you get the chance.

Not only does he still wear the hat but looks almost exactly the same has he did back in the GnR days. The rest of those guys didn't age as gracefully. Especially Axl, kinda like Elvis near the end only with too much "plastic."

Glad you had a good time! You'll have to get back on here and let us know how the G-N-R show is later this fall. I'd seriously like to know how the 2 shows compare.

Glad you had a good time! You'll have to get back on here and let us know how the G-N-R show is later this fall. I'd seriously like to know how the 2 shows compare. I saw G'nR in Feb. at the then Conseco Fieldhouse. Hard to compare a packed arena show to a small standing room only, 2000 person venue. Axl's all about the "production" with video screens and explosions, where Slash had a backdrop of his album cover, instruments and amps. Both shows had a great selection of classic G'nR tunes as well as their newer stuff. Loved being up close and personal for the Slash show. Best part is that they've both surrounded themselves with some really, really good musicians and are putting on great shows. Vegas show is only a month away, and I can't friggin wait! Smaller venue (only 4,000 people), but it's Vegas, so you know it'll be big. Let you know. BTW, Axl will be doing his first "live" TV interview in over 20 years on Jimmy Kimmel Live Oct. 24th, a week before the Vegas run starts. Should be interesting.
