Well...I sold a few things today and now am ready to get down to some serious boat shopping..Probably wont be the 18' boat I would like..but will get me back on the water!! Cant wait..I plan to hit the water hard this year..With some new tactics and a little luck..Maybe even catch another Indiana 50" .....or two... Will be hard to beat the 2 50" fish from last year along with the 6 over 40"....I also cant wait to get on the St. Joe for some steel-head/salmon..and maybe a few with big teeth... R I may be down on Bass lake next weekend...Gotta check the schedule and if all works out??? Either that or I hear some of the ice is getting thin on the Backwater of Webster ...CANT WAIT!!! Randy NEED MUSKY!!!

Sounds good! I'd love to get after some steel-head or salmon, need to get up there and check out this famous St Joe River someday. I seen a boat on the Gander Mtn bulletin board the other day that you might be interested in. 16' Lund with a 90 horse. I'll pm you with the number.

I'd love to go after some steel-head some time. Hey Troy, I don't think Dad's boat is going to sit in the garage all summer this year. What do you think?

Wouldn't start when we got down here because it had sit too long. The guy that worked on it said that was the worst thing on them, not being used for that long of time.

I went this afternoon to check out three boats. First 07 Lund Classic 1675 w/50hp Honda 4stroke. Fishfinder/trolling motor. Lots of fishing room and the dry smooth ride that you get with a lund. Asking $10,700 ..I will probably offer $9K. Boat #2..02 Starcraft with 25hp suz 4stroke..LOTS of room..I was very surprised how roomy this boat was and the amount of storage. Looks to have been on the water maybe a dozen times and best of all ..Price was only $5500..I could get it for $4500-5k?? I may offer an 6K to upgrade the motor to a 50hp Honda. I am not a big Starcraft fan..but his one is a great boat and super price.. Boat #3..This was a surprise. 07 Lund 1700 Explorer ..90HP Merc 4stroke (yamaha power head) Has everything..Less than 30 hours. The guy was in his 80s when he purchased it and died that year. His family got the boat and they don't fish. Looks like new..Asking $15500..I may offer $13500 once I check it out with better light. It was raining real heavy and I didn't want to pull it out to look it over. This would require me to sell a few more things..but its a fantastic boat. OK..looking for input..What do you guys think?? OH CRAP!!! MY ADD is kicking my .....oh look a bird..

Randy, We think the Lund with the Honda 4stroke sounds like the best buy. We like our Fisher boat with the 75 Mercury 4stroke, but it's almost too heavy a motor for our 16ft boat. Our last boat had a 50 4stroke Honda, and it was a great motor. We kind of wish we had held out for a Lund boat too. The one with the 90 Mercury sounds like a great boat too.

They all sound good. If a Lund is what you really want, then that's what I'd go with. Did you call about the one I pm'd you about?

I will make an offer this week..I will try a low offer on the 17' Lund Explorer with the 90hp Merc (Yamaha powered) EFI..If nothing comes from that I will give it a few weeks..The boats are just starting to come out..Should not be hard to find a good deal.
