The way I read the bundle and did the math a resident don't benefit. 1st antlered tag $24, first antlerless $24, 2nd antlerless $15 = $63 bundle $65. Because your now buying deer hunting license not an archery or firearm its a Deer hunting License. Now a non-resident would benefit because they $150 per tag and now there bundle is just under $300. Unless I'm misunderstanding it completely.

They are making archery season one continuous season instead of early and late season. I always hated waiting for late archery season to come in... glad they changed that. Of course now they also have an antlerless firearms season in december thru Jan 6th so there will be alot of gun hunters out there with the bowhunters.Which sucks, cuz I kinda like huntin when it doesnt sound like a war zone around you, LOL. And i dont like wearing blaze orange when im bowhunting, cuz i like em real close I dont know if the deer can see it or not, but for some reason ,when im wearing it ,i just get the feeling that i stick out like a sore thumb.

I know I've had years where I've bought a archery tag($24) and didn't kill a buck, bought a firearm tag($24) and didn't kill a buck, bought a muzzleloader tag($24) and still didn't kill a buck! That's 72 bucks and doesn't even include any extra doe tags! I'll gladly pay an extra 2 bucks to not have to worry about buying a bunch of different tags. For a person who hunts with only 1 kind of weapon it would be no benefit at all, and like you said, would actually cost more.

As Troy said - That's 72 bucks and doesn't even include any extra doe tags! I'll gladly pay an extra 2 bucks to not have to worry about buying a bunch of different tags. Amen Bro! I've done this too many times and feel bitter about it everytime I have to do it. I actually believe the reason I've lost interest in deer hunting (although I still do it) recently is the cost of all the tags and how they keep adding up throughout the year. Like Troy said, it could cost you $72 in tags to kill a buck in muzzleloader by the time you've bought your tag for archery, shotgun and then muzzleloader. That is a shame that our tags are set up to be weapon specific. This bundle package may signify an end coming soon to weapons specific tags.

From the Indiana DNR; Deer License BundleThe last thing you want to worry about when deer hunting is if you have the right license for the right deer season. The new deer license bundle makes such worries a thing of the past. With it, one license can be used in multiple seasons. The bundle can be used in youth, archery, firearms, muzzleloader, and special antlerless seasons, and allows for the harvest of one antlered and two antlerless deer. All legal equipment that can be used in these seasons may be used with the deer bundle, including crossbows. Cost is $65 for residents, $295 for non-residents, and $65 for non-resident youth. “The deer bundle is a great alternative to buying multiple licenses for multiple seasons,” said Michelle Cain, DNR wildlife information specialist. “It saves hunters money and makes hunting easier for those who enjoy many equipment types for deer hunting.” Cautions: – The bundle cannot be used to satisfy urban deer zone bag limits. – The bundle cannot be used to take bonus antlerless deer on a DNR property during the special antlerless deer season nor during any regular deer season, except where authorized. See the Indiana Hunting and Trapping Guide or contact the DNR property you wish to hunt for exceptions. Buy the bundle at indianaoutdoor.IN.gov or at any Indiana Outdoor license retailer near you. For answers to frequently asked questions about deer hunting, see huntingIN.gov/7389.htm..
