Anyone been out yet? I ventured out for the first time this afternoon. Due to some back troubles I'm having it was mainly riding around field edges on the 4-wheeler, but I did get off and walk some trails and it felt good to be in the woods again. Only found 1 today and it was on the edge of a picked bean field. I saw the tines sticking up from about 40 yards away and got excited, but it wasn't much. Not even "technically" a shed as it looks like it was broke off. Looks as if a coyote had "marked" it too.

The, uh, 'markings' was the first thing I noticed. Kind of interesting that a coyote crapped right on the antler like that.

Started thinkin about the sheds myself. Since the winter has been so mild, I'm wondering if they might not start falling until a little later. Looks like that yote might have squated down there, felt that tine in his fanny and panicked

Went back this afternoon and found another one on the edge of the same field. Looks like it's been there a while so I'm sure I just missed it the other day. Just about everything above the grass had been chewed off. I thought it looked familiar and I was right; Chase has a bunch of pics of this buck from last summer. Should be a good one next year!

What? That one wasn't good enough for a coyote to dump on it?

I found these two sheds last week when i was out checking my cameras. The one would have had an extra tine next to his g2 but it got broken off.

I found these two sheds last week when i was out checking my cameras. Nice finds! I'm gonna try to get out again this week. A buddy at work seen a monster buck off I-70 last night that still had both sides, so I think it still might be a little early.

Anyone see the article in the most recent Outdoor Life about turning sheds into money? Some nice ones can go for a couple hundred bucks.

Anyone see the article in the most recent Outdoor Life about turning sheds into money? Some nice ones can go for a couple hundred bucks. I let our subscription to OL expire, so I missed the article. After a quick eBay search of completed auctions for sheds though, I can tell you what I'm gonna be doing tomorrow! Looks like the "brown" freshly dropped antlers bring the most. I've got one side of a 140-150" 8 point I found a few years back. Might have to see what it brings on the auction block!

Found one little guy today.... Actually Max and me found it at the same time. This one was looked like it was a pretty fresh drop so I searched the area good for the match, but no such luck.
