Well when i got back from school today i wanted to go hunting so i climbeed up into a stand over looking a clover field and got ready to wait. After about 45 minutes i stood up to stetch and about that time the hook connecting the ratchet strap to the stand some how slipped off. I fell 20 feet and got knocked out. I woke up a minute or two later and found myself laying in the brier patch below the stand about 10 feet down the hillside. I checked my self and found i jammed my left knee pretty bad, hurt my back badly and a stick was stuck into my right shoulder. Also my legs hurt from the stand landing on top of me. Also broke my range finder by landing on it. It was a pretty bad day in the woods for me but it couldve been worse. Hopefully all of you are being safer than i was today. :-/

make sure yall wear your harnesses because i can assure you my rear end wont be in a tree without one again.

I've fallen out once before, don't let it keep you out of the stand though.

. We all hope everything heals fast and you can get back on 'em quickly. Thanks to you, I just dug out and dusted off my harnesses. I'll bet this will cause several members to install harnesses on their portables.

Well i had a bad day myself. I Had been sittin in the stand for about an hour and stood up to stretch. The stand had been there for a while and i had checked the strap and it was all kink-fray free, anyways i heard a creek and the next thing i know im fallin to the ground with the stand. I land on the stand with my hip and on 2 dead logs at the same time, i dont remember everything but my arrow had to have been right by me the way i landed on the stand (it has a built in bow holder) luckily the stand is only like 12 ft high so all i have is scrapes and bruises...unfortunately the bar your arrow slide goes on on my bow is cracked and bent >:(

...im just lucky i landed on my hip and didnt hit step or land on an arrow...the ironic thing is that i had just got my harness out and cleaned it up but forgot it, anouther kick in the face is i saw 4 deer on the way home and there was a HUGE buck behind my house that i couldnt try to stalk >:(
