Me and a buddy got together the other night and built a deer feeder to put out behind the house. He had been building biodegradeable bird feeders out of recycled cardboard carpet tubes, and I had the idea to expand his line to deer feeders. It holds about 25# of corn/molasses mix. Hopefully (if the squirrels don't eat all the corn) I'll have some deer pix to share soon. By the way, here's a picture of the bird feeder he makes. If anyone is interested in one finished or as a kit, let me know and I'll get you his contact info.

That looks pretty cool. Sure don't see why it wouldn't work. I'd be interested in one. Does he have a website or anything to order from?

is the base that has corn in it is made of wood? Yeah, Tyler, we made the base out of some scrap 1X4's and 1/4" plywood I had laying around. It slopes down at the front, so we drilled a few holes to allow any water to run out. On a seperate note, what kind of camera do you use to make your videos? I'm looking to buy one in the not too distant future and wanted some opinions on what kind to get.

Sounds good well i will try and make one sometime if i can, and i use a cannon palm digital camera, i use a palm size one because it makes videoing eaiser, it is more stable on a camera arm, the video is very clear and you will save alot of money. p.s. On my youtube page ( www.youtube.com/user/rutandstrut ) go to the video called Tall Tined 9 Point and its the first deer video i took on the cannon and i think its my best quality video.

The site currently only shows the bird feeders, but I know he's been working on deer feeders as well. Here's the link: biogreenfeeders.com

I think the deer are finally using it, but I'm having trailcam issues so no pix yet. Seems it only stays on for a few hours, then shuts down. Eats batteries like they're going out of style.

Hope you get it up and running again! Maybe you need to get a Stealth Cam.
