Caught this 21" cat out of Sullivan Lake on my ultralite using a road runner lure. It made for a good fight.

That's a nice lookin' cat! I was fishing a tiny jig under a bobber at the pond last week and had one about that size on. It got up under a stump and broke me off though.

OK, so this year I've added 3 more to the "cats on the ultra lite" category. I didn't get pics of one though as it shook off before I could get my hands on it. The only reason I am going to count it is the reel on the lite started making funny noises after that. It still works but now has a ticking noise. Here's the 2 I did get pics of. This was a 23" caught either May 18 or 19. Weighed 5lb. I landed this one last night and it measured 21". 10 minutes after that I hooked into another that had some size but it turned out to be a bass. It spit the lure during the fight. Would've liked to of landed him.

Sweet! Those are definitely a blast on light tackle. Looks like you've got a little catfish honey hole there. Have you ever tried targeting cats in that spot?

Nope. I'm usually busy trying to get some slabs but I end up with these. The 21" and 25" were caught on back to back nights and not 20 feet from each other.
