Well even thought the weather isnt going to be great tomorrow im going to try to get a turkey for youth season. Today we scouted the area and had two toms and two hens right in our spot n they roosted in the woods just behind it. Ill let you know if i do any good.

well this morning didnt work out. we got their late because of the storm and as we were setting up the blind we looked in the tree behind us to see 5 turkeys staring at us. well they busted out of the tree and gave us up but we set up anyway and didnt see a single one the whole morning and had to leave early because my step dad had a meeting to go to. hopefully we can ambush them in the field this afternoon before they roost.

No luck with frenchy or the Bell boys either. We did jump 1 hen and I found a nice yellow morel that frenchy almost stepped on. At least jonboy, Monty, and catfishsam got to hear some gobbles and see some toms. Monty also found a shed that I haven't seen yet but I'll try to get a pic up later...

wow nice shed..........just got back from michigan guys, had 3 birds in range the three days i hunted. Had one strutt in with a jake and two hens but just was moving his head arround too much. No shot. had another come in actually befor that with a jake but must hav seen us or something so no shot either. Finally on saturday morning had a bird strutt all the way from 100 yrds or so after he flew down come to 30 yrds but behind a deadfall and was gettin ready to leev so my dad decided to shoot since i only hav 3 inchers while hes got 3 1/2 inchers. he missed sadly but we had fun. My bro went up last nite and hunted thismorning and had a tom fly down rite at 20 yrds and he dropped him. his first tom wahoo!!! goin out on Friday again to hunt the hole weekend. goodluck guys get some birds.

Thanks, guys! I was scanning a fence row for shrooms as we were leaving the woods and saw it in a little clearing. With the split G2, it looks a lot like the one jonboy brought with him that morning to show me and Sam (just not as big). His is on the first page of the shed hunting thread.

I can see it just fine, the picture that is. I was looking through that clearing for at least a minute before Monty seen that shed. But Monty forgot to tell you how I risked life, limb and manhood crossing that flimsy fence to pick up that shed.

Monty couldn't go get his own shed? He must've been too busy carrying sam.
