Well I guess I'll give my two cents here. I too have read the left behind series, as well as East of Eden. Another couple of more good Steinbeck reads are The Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Men, the Pearl was OK as was one about a Mexican village where they just scammed each other for booz money the whole book. I really liked the classic To Kill a Mockingbird in fact if my youngest son would have been a girl her nickname was going to be "Scout." I've read every John Grisham book with my favorite being A Time to Kill. If you have a daughter you need to read that one. I'm a big, big, big Louis Lamour fan. I've not read them all but working on it. I need to thank fmj for reminding me of the movie "The Sacketts." Had my wife get it from the Library loan and watched it this week. Thomas Harris' novels The Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal plus the last one which is a prequal. (can't remember the title) I've also read Ted, White and Blue by Uncle Ted. "You know you've arrived when you have ammo delivered by the cases." I can't end this post without mentioning Mark Twains Adventure's of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn as well as the classic Where the Red Fern Grows and Old Yeller. Many,Many more that I can't think of at the moment.

My favorite John Grisham book is "The Testament." Gary Paulson is a good author too. I really enjoyed "The Transall Saga" by him.

OHHH BOY...i am a HUGE reader. Dont even know where to begin.
Well, i guess the beginning would be the place to start. I'll put up a few and add more as i think of 'em...my ole lady HATES it when i buy books. I will spend money on a book (or 3 or 5) and the next day be done with them all. She says its the biggest waste of money.
J.R.R. Tolkiens books were my first big undertaking....started reading The Hobbit in 6th grade....finally finished Return of the King sophmore year. Have since read the series a couple hundred times. My daughters name is taken from a character in an offshoot from the books.
Have read ALL the Louis Lamour i could get me mitts on. To the Far Blue Mountians, Jubal, Sackett, etc. are prolly my faves. But Last of the Breed and The Walking Drum are up there.
Dean Koontz can write a good tale as well. Watchers is still my fave....i would HIGHLY suggest this book for any that have a dog that amazes them like mine does. Also , The worst evening of the year and The Face are good reads.
R.A. Salvatore and all the Dark elf books (the first 3 trilogies are best) also the cleric quintet is good.
Stephen Ambrose and Undaunted courage was good, if a bit dry.

So I recently got Audible and have listened to a few books while driving. On the way to Florida I listened to “UFO of God” by Chris Bledsoe. At 03:15 Wednesday morning I was south of Atlanta on I-75. It was a dark stretch of the interstate with pines on both sides. Directly in front of me to the south I saw a shooting star. It was bright white and only lasted a split second. It seemed to drop straight down instead of shooting across the sky. At the EXACT same time I saw this the book stopped playing on my radio. I was stunned for a minute and then had to unplug and then reinsert my USB to reconnect the Apple CarPlay. With the book playing again I didn’t recognize what I was hearing and had to rewind the book a few minutes to find the spot where it had stopped playing. It was near the beginning of chapter 13. I know this was probably just a coincidence but I’ve been a little shook since it happened. That was the only time in the 14 hour drive that I lost connection with CarPlay. This is definitely a trip and book I won’t forget!

That sounds like a wild coincidence.
I've been listening to books at work. Really enjoyed Killers of the Flower Moon and Meateater just released "The Long Hunters" and it was good too.

I finished Meateater “Close Calls” on the way down before I started the UFO book. It was pretty good. Some crazy stories! I told my story on the UFO author’s Facebook page and he responded this.. “That’s how they often communicate with us. I am sure it wanted to make you aware”
Oh, and I just heard that the UFO book is going to made into a movie trilogy.

A couple of years ago me and my wife went to Pawhuska, OK to visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile store and to see her family ranch. While we were there they had half the town barricaded off and they were filming Killers of the Flower Moon. I still have not seen the movie but I plan on it very soon.

Just finished listening to UFO of God for the 2nd time. I was going to get Killers of the Flower Moon next but ended up going with The Wager by the same author. Just started it on my drive into work this morning.
