Decided to go this morning. Saw a bunch. Missed one and had one go behind a limb when I shot. Finally got one before I left though. I would just sit on a log until I heard nuts falling from the trees and I'd go after it. It was fun once I got in the woods but it wasn't walking through the corn field. I think I'm gonna try the Bacon Wrapped Recipe with it so I'll post how it is.

sounds good. I got a few in the freezer, but i got a whitetails banquet tonight in sullivan, so maybe tomorrow.

Yeah, I've been trying this method for years and have never done it perfect. You can tell this good ol' boy has done a few in his day though. I just use a knife.

Anthony it is extremely hard cause of their skin, well the method i use anyway. And its funny chase cause i actually saw that video and tried it and it didn't work that well for me.

I have been fortunate enough to get to go pretty much when ever i want, as long as season is in. so i have had alot of practice.

saw a tip about skinning them in Field and Stream this past month. They say to start skinning it as soon as you kill it. Then just cut a 3 inch cut along the bottom of its back, reach in and grab the body then pull the skin off like a glove. I guess the sooner you do it the easier it is.

they are easier to skin when they are still warm, but to me that takes away from huntin time
