Our school is closed so we're headed to the lake! I got a lot of fish cleaning to do. Chase lit the kerosene heater out in the garage for me, so that's where I'll be for the next couple hours. Chase will be on soon with a full report.....

I was surprised when I heard that schools were closed after looking outside and seeing that panzy snow fall we got. I was expecting to see close to a foot. It's a good snow if I use 4wd; today I did not.

How we used to go to school when there was a foot of snow, uphill both ways. Oh, and there off again today. We're trying to decide where we're going fishing.

Wish Sam and I could join you guys out there, but Dee took the 4X4 to work. Plus, I don't think the girls are into hard water fishing. Oh well. Good luck and let us know when the fish fry is. Headin' outside now to join the kids on the "slopes!"

I graduated in '97 and our snow days were few and far between. I think the principal we had at the time was the main reason why we never had very many snow days. One year he was out driving the roads to decide if school should be cancelled. He was pulled over by a county boy who told him to stay off the roads and go home. I don't think I could even remember how many times we would go to school and everyone else didn't have to go. It seemed like Linton, Bloomfield and Eastern got a lot of snow days. I can understand Eastern and Bloomfield with all the hills that are located on that side of the county. Oh, I went to WRV.

Good luck Anthony! I wanted to go this morning, but everybody said it was too cold. I guess it is a little chilly; it's only 2° out right now!
