Last night Monty, Catfishsam, Chase, and myself took crappielady's boat over to Lake Monroe to fish for big cats. We got there about sunset and fished the Paynetown/Moore's Creek area. We were drifting in 10-20 fow with live and cut pumpkinseeds, bluegill, and creek chubs and seemed to be hung up more than we were fishing. We couldn't buy a bite and sometime after 1 we anchored in a small cove. Chase decided to downsize and put on a smaller hook and some redworms. He got a bite right away but it got off, he cast back out and caught the first fish of the night around 1:40am. 
It was one of those long skinny channel cats and I said we might as well get a pic to show we caught something. As I'm looking for the camera, the fish flops out of Chase's hand and we hear Chase yelp, we get the light on him and Chase is "horned" so bad that the fish is stuck in his hand! 
It's down to the bone and Monty says "Yank it! Yank it!", Chase does and it's like "POP!" Chase throws the fish hard as he can and we all have to set down for a minute. That was the worst catfish "horning" I've ever seen. We called it a night at 2.

Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
