I hooked my first smallie of the year! A dink but hey! it's a fish 
. I lost one about a half an hour earlier that was between 3-4 lbs. 
Had him all the way up to shore but had a log in the way that I was trying to hoist him over and it snapped my line.
Hooked both of 'em on a 2" junebug colored curly tail grub right next to sunken timber

It's been quite some time since my drag screamed like that. At first I thought I had a carp on. My drag screamed for a good 45 seconds before he finally let up. Then it took another couple of minutes to work him to shore. I only had 4 lb. test on. Fun stuff!
Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
