Today we went to Gander Mtn. and I spent my gift card I got for Christmas. I got an Edge Expedite Mighty Predator Electronic Caller and Edge Quiver Critter. We played around with it and the sound is clear and can get pretty loud. You can download Mp3s to it and also use an SD card for more memory. Can't wait to try it out!

We were gonna try it out in the morning for some 'yotes, but they're calling for rain now. I think we'll try to bust some crows with it instead. Chase down loaded some crow calls and I put a 10 minute sequence together to try. If it actually works, I'll try to make the mp3 available to down load from our site for anyone who wants it.

Troy, that would be great if you made the sequence available. I was planning on trying some crow hunting this summer and have been looking for a sequence. Maybe we could start a thread area where we can post different calling sequences for different species for anyone to download.

Well, the first crow sequence I made didn't work so good. Chase was right; it sounded like there was a monkey in with the crows? Maybe this was suppose to be a dying crow? I went back to the house and found some crow calls on crowbusters.com and made a new sequence. This one has some calls and a crow fight mixed in. We took it back out and called some in and Chase even got to throw lead at a couple. I'm gonna play with it a little and then make it available to download. I guess it's a good thing Chase got this setup or we might be done with the 'yotes for this year. I was talking to the yoteslayer at work today and he's gonna be out of commision for a while. Hernia surgery. Get better soon Mike!

Troy, any chance that you can put the crow sequence up for download. I'm planning a crow hunt and it would really come in handy. Also, what software do you use for making sequences? I was thinking about downloading a free program called Audacity but would consider another one.

I was thinking about downloading a free program called Audacity but would consider another one. Here ya go Brian(or anyone else who'd like it. ) www.bellbucksnbeards.com/calls/crowseq2.mp3Right click on the link and then "Save Target As...." This is a pretty large file; 18mb, and almost 10 minutes long. It starts out with 45 seconds of silence to allow you to start the call and get hid. The basic sequence is; - Rally
- Attention
- Rally
- Crow
- At approximately 2 and 7 minutes is a crow fight.
I used Sony Vegas to edit it. I had never heard of Audacity until Chase's NAP contact mentioned it recently. Booey downloaded it to his laptop and it's a very powerful program, especially for free! I think I'll try it next time I make a sequence. Let me know if you have any luck with it!
