Got a crock pot full of this stuff going right now. Just sampled it and I don't think I can wait til supper to dig in!!

I just use my dad's chili recipe and substitute venison for beef.

I've been aggressively trying to use up my deer meat to make room for more this fall. I will have to make this over the weekend. I don't think I ever made this like I said I was going to earlier in this post. Time to change that.

I simmered the deer meat in broth overnight last night. This morning I threw in all the other ingredients. I used brown sugar for my sweetener. OH, by the way, I cookes a few strips of bacon first and removed them from the pan. Then, I added my deer meat to the bacon grease. I'm hoping this will give it some subtle smokiness. I will let it simmer in the crock pot all day and enjoy it this evening. I sampled it already and it is gonna be damn good!

I've made this twice in as many weeks. Never gets old! Trying to make some room in the freezer for fresh meat!!
