well i'm going to try both to see if theres any different taste. which i believe that the seasoning will be potent enough to correct the taste. where talking some tough spices in a louisiana crawfish boil.

Are the crayfish or crawdads good to eat up here in indiana?my father wants to do a crawdad boil for the family for my 1 year down college party. instead of buying and shipping Louisiana crawfish which cost hundreds of dollars. maybe it will be best just to spend a weekend with old pop and finding crawfish here. any suggestion will be taken for. thank you

i like to use the storm 4in swim bait. especially in deep shore lines. good for strip pits. and its a workout too. repeated casting makes me tired lol. if you know you have big bass in a pond use a stick bait from strike king call big tex. its a coffee blend sent to mask human sent. hook it with a 5/0 or 6/0 there big. hook it weedless its going to to be horizontal bait. no sinker what so ever. cast as far as you can. more you cover water the better chance to catch a big fish. that's my motto. i like to use it in flats or deep cover. over bent shrubs, and docks. always takes your time with this bait. fish it slow as possible. let the bass takes the bait. i usually wait about 10 seconds till i set the hook. that might be long but industries and technology has gone so far making baits for fish to hold on to them. there aint nothing better (except deer hunting) than a feeling of a 8lb or bigger large mouth on the end of the line. i hope this helps people it works for me. p.s. if nothing works use a rooster tail so you don't get skunk on the water. i seen people catch cats, bluegills, bass, crappie, pike, shiners, rock bass, small mouth, ware mouth, gar, heck even a turtle. thanks good luck
