any body pour there own soft plastics. i have been doing it for a couple of years. havn`t bought a store bait in a couple of years. the plastic i use is nice and soft and is very boyant so the worms float off the bottom and make for some great action. heres a beaver type bait i pour.

Very sweet! No wabbits for next year. been rabbit hunting the same areas for 30 years. there are always bunnies every year. some down years but thats the way bunny season is. we have a bunch of spots we will only hunt a few times a year so we don`t over hunt it. but its public land so we are not the only one hunting it. we would rather have great runs than kill all the rabbits. so we have wabbits for next year.

thanks. thats not many bunnies for the amout of time we hunt. we start oct 1 early indiana and end in ohio and hunt til feb 28. we hunt every week end. hunt mainly public land but did hunt some privete this year. we mainly stop at two bunnys and just let the hounds run the rest of the day. we had a bunch of days we never killed any. we did get invited to a 700 acre fram this year that was loaded with bunnys. we only shoot the rabbits the hounds are running and never jump shoot,

how old are they, you can train them on there own. running bunnys is in them you just need to bring it out. take them to areas with a lot of bunnys. if there a couple months old you want to bond with them and train them on handleing. i have started a bunch of pups with out running hounds. pataince is a pups best friend. don`t rush them. a lot of guys don`t worry about starting them till there at least 6 months old. but you can start them on there own. when there running bunnys you may want to run them with older hounds. just make sure you run a little slower dog with them. if you do get another do make sure they are the same speed as the ups you have. all beagles are not created equal.
