Yep it did, but I think may buy a new one. It's got some wear because it's been used with a steel nock loop. The other day I drew it back and the release slipped open on its own (yikes). Which leads me to my next question... would you guys recommend I replace it with a tie-on loop, or just stick with the metal one??

Finally came across the right bow for the right price. Found a used Bowtech Blackhawk for a great deal from a real nice fella up in Bainbridge. Comes with everything I need to get started, except a target. Can't wait to start shootin! Not sure yet whether I'll be ready before the end of archery season. But I'm hoping I can squeeze in a hunt before it's over!

So that's what all the rumors were about then? Hey Troy, I'll pick up a powerball ticket and if I hit it big we'll split it. Lol.

Who's gonna do some ice fishing this year? I know I am. Last year I went up to Lasalle FWA a couple times with my father in law, but never hit any of the pits down this way. This year I want to make sure I hit Shakamak a few times and maybe a couple pits, assuming we get safe ice. Can't wait!

What kind of bow would you guys recommend for an archery noob? I'm left handed so that probably limits my choices. I'd like to stick to something on the cheaper side for now.

Nice! I've been there a couple times and caught tons of little pumpkinseeds. Very cool catch.

On thursday I stopped at the bottom of the cagles mill dam. They had it wide open so the water was pretty high and fast... only good water was a swirling eddy near where the small creek flows in. The bait stealers were out in full force. Caught one small bass on a whole box of crawlers. The main lake was still very high.

Yowzers. We have quite a few zukes that my wife is looking to find a use for... This will definitely top my list of suggestions.

way to stick with it and find em man. what depth and bait? the bugs here are absolutely overwhelming. The gnats are still around (though not quite as bad) but the skeeters are ridiculous and now we're having issues with bees and especially horse flies. I really hate winter but... dare I say it... these bugs really make me look forward to drilling some holes this winter...
