Trying to make room in boat and since I haven't really used these, its time to let them go. 5 bucks each. Msg or text me. Most of these have not even seen the water.

I had my best year fishing for walleye ever. I brought every walleye that I kept home alive, then put straight in cold water and this greatly improved the fillets I believe. The only fish I kept this year were walleye, sauger, perch, redear, bluegill, and one catfish for my mom (small two pounder).
Some of my stats for the year
First year I have ever caught over 100 keeper walleye.
Limited out at the same lake 5 months in a row.
In a span of 24 trips, I caught 100 keepers and over 260 total walleye.
Within those 24 trips I had a span of 11 trips where I caught 9 limits, 4 on one day and 3 on the other.
The only keeperless day I had was in July on my birthday when I caught just three shorts. I haven't had the boat out since mid July.
One trip was made for bluegill fishing and ended up with 4 1/2 pounds of fillets.
Added some squirrel pics at the end to make it match the song's end.

We don't have many of them around since the coyotes took over. I don't think he was colored up right to be worth much as a furbearer. I don't even know what reds bring now, but they are always neat to watch when I get a chance to see them.

Just seen the title of this and it brought memories of getting back to the car after running a line and holding my hand over the defroster vent. Something about breaking ice to pull a rat out that just screams cold. I wouldn't replace those memories for anything though.

Found another receipt. I also found 3 of mine from 83 and 84 and the prices were already taking a crap.

Coming in from turkey hunting one evening this spring I had one in the barn lot. I dropped to my belly and started doing some rodent calls to it. It slipped off into the briars down this slope from me. I kept getting my calls quieter and quieter. Nothing happened. I peaked through the grass and there it was looking back at me. That was truly awesome. I believe they raise pups in the pines behind my house every year.
Grays are here, I think they like the brush more than the reds. Coyotes don't help matters any.

They are starting to feed more now. Much more active than they were.

Got the newly decked out jon out on the river yesterday for her new maiden voyage. Only fished a few hours as I motored upstream hitting likely spots. I managed to catch 3 smallmouth and had a 25-30 inch northern try several times to eat a spinnerbait only to come up empty. The last one he almost hit the boat and I didn't see him again. All in all in was a fun trip. I did scare an eagle out of a tree and during the entire fishing trip I didn't see anyone else. Peaceful. Coming back to the ramp I startled a doe and fawn at the rivers edge getting a drink. The first score

Nice fish. My biggest sauger was at 18 inches last year. Been having an outstanding year fishing for walleye. Best walleye year I have ever had.

Sounds good! Is it a little tougher meat? Not in the younger ones.
