The girlfriend and I went to sugar creek for some fishing and fossil hunting yesterday. First we tried the new sugar creek public access site with very little fishing success at 2 smallies each in around an hour but lots of fossils. We then tried our usual spot at Sugar Creek Campgrounds the water was up like 2 feet so it was a bit tricky but we managed 10 or so fish in 4 hrs and alot of nice fossils. I caught my first sauger ever and the biggest smallie of the day on back to back casts with a rebel teeny R in bone with orange belly on 4 lb test. All in all alot of fun found over 4lbs of nice fossils too.

Ok I've got huge grass carp in the lake I fish just wanna know how I should target them the lake has a super snaggy grassy bottom and the fish mainly just sit in super shallow water that can only be fished from a boat and spook easy
