With turnover at an end and the water temps nearing 50deg, its time for the Fall bite to come into full swing. This time of year I prefer to use large glide baits, swim baits and 15" + sucker on a quick strike rig. Work baits slow with lots of pauses. Remeber that with the cold water temps the fish will respond more to a slow bait ...OH..and dont forget topwater..Just because its not spring or later summer..dont think muskies will not hit a topwater bait..Try to stick with natural colors that match the normal forage fish for your lake. I like to through 8" and 10" Hoosier Handmade baitfish and shad glides, in shad or rumNcoke.
I will be getting out this weekend and need a netman...I may be doing a all night trolling run..so be ready to put some time in..
See Ya On The Water

I was going to start guiding this year...I dicided against it..I was only going to use it for a tax write off (bad idea) ...I do guide for chairity events and have been asked to speak at local clubs. I will be at the Michiana Walleye Club this weekend. Going over musky and steelhead fishing in Northern Indiana.
