NICE! Did'nt you say you also had a Saiga 7.62x39? or USED to have one? I found a pic of a SAIGA 12 I thought you would like... Would be a FAIRLY easy conversion...

NICE! Did'nt you say you also had a Saiga 7.62x39? or USED to have one? I found a pic of a SAIGA 12 I thought you would like... Would be a FAIRLY easy conversion... I still have the 7.62; it saw range time today as well. I hadn't shot it since I installed the bullet guide. It performed with zero flaws. That pic is just another reason why I wanted this shotgun. This isn't your grandpa's 12 gauge. Yes, Benelli and Remington make a nice semi auto but they just don't have the bad arse look that the Saiga does. Speaking of looks; I did get an email this evening stating the parts I ordered will be in the mail tomorrow. Another reasoning behind this is there's a 99.999% chance (I have to have some hope) that I'll never get to own an AA-12 and this is about as close as I'm going to get.

Spainy, I have also been interested in pickin up an AA-12. I have been doing ALOT of research on them, but cant come up with a SOLID figure. I have found SOME saying they "COULD POSSIBLY" be seen on the CIVILIAN side for around a grand, but these are just educated guesses. IF by some chance they DO come on the civilian market(WHICH IS DOUBTFULL ) i would expect to see one at the 1500 sometime soon. The gun has been around for a while now, and the way I figgure, If it does get released, Its is likely someone at the 1500 will have one.(probably just to show it off along with a rediculously HIGH price tag.) BUT look at the bright side, ATLEAST YOU GOT THE SAIGA!

I would think if the AA12 does become available it will be semi auto only. That's where the stupid pre-ban comes into play. Any select fire or full auto weapon made after 1986 can not be owned by civilians. Those who do have these weapons I believe they have a Class 3 license but don't hold me to that.

Nice Saiga Spainy. I've been looking at getting one. Where did you get it and what was the price range on it? I picked this gun up at Bradis Guns in Camby, IN (just SW of Indy). They were having a pre-inventory sale and I got 15% off. The tag said $549; after tax I paid $500. I dropped another $330 for the accessories I ordered as well. These things are like AR's; you initially buy one and spend a ton more on teh goodies.

Never been in there, but may have to stop in sometime. BTW I LOVE the heat shields on it.

That was the first time I had ever been in there. I hate to think how many times I had drove past there and never noticed that shop. They actually have 2 shops now. They opened up Bradis II which is behind the gun shop; they are mainly the ammo and accessories dealer. I didn't get to go in Bradis II though.

If any of you are wondering what is involved in converting one of these guns here are the vids I watched to guide me along (for the 7.62 and the 12). This is the same guy I ordered my parts from too. Carolina Shooters Supply.
