Hopefully your place is holding up through this hurricane. I saw a guy on the weather channel this morning that was reporting from the St. John's river. He didn't say where at on the St. John's but what they did show was that there was quite a bit of storm surge on the St john's where he was at. I thought of you immediately, Troy.

Just got a message from my next door neighbor down there and he said they did a walk around and everything looks good! Here's his wife taking the kayak around the yard. My place is right behind their carport to the right.

Guess I'm not out of the clear. Just watched a video on Facebook from Lake County emergency Management and they're saying the water is still rising in Astor and could rise as much as 5 feet. They're bringing in inmates tomorrow to help sandbag and are offering assistance to anyone who wants to evacuate. They've started a curfew and are bringing in extra law enforcement to prevent looting. I have until Thursday to cancel my vacation so hopefully I'll know something by then.

Thanks! Some of the pics and videos I've seen today are scaring me to death but our neighbor says our place is still "high n dry!"

This is the "road" to our place. It's across the road from that big yellow house up there, off to the left.

Hope your place can make it through this one! If so, it should be another 1,000 years before there will be another one like it.

I'm down here. Doesn't look bad other than the roads are still covered with water. A lot of cleaning up to do. Just talked to a neighbor and he said one of the other neighbors was catching 24" bass out of his yard!
