Got out on Sunday to fish for some trout. I was able to catch a couple as well as a bit of a surprise...
It was my first attempt at doing a video like that, so be gentle. I'm not quite on expert level like Greenedog.

Did you film that with the little JVC? Looked pretty good.

SWEET! I thought you did a great job on the video, Eli. I stopped by the Terre Haute trout lake this evening after work and went 5 for 7. I'll post a report and video tomorrow....too pooped right now.

Did you film that with the little JVC? Looked pretty good. I did. So far I have been really happy with the video quality. The battery life is only about two hours, but I bought a couple of extra batteries to carry when I think I'll need them. I'm also really happy with the head mount I picked up. I've had it out on the creek a couple of times, but no fish were caught. I figured I wouldn't bore you guys with a POV video of me staring at the water and looking around in the woods. SWEET! I thought you did a great job on the video, Eli. I stopped by the Terre Haute trout lake this evening after work and went 5 for 7. I'll post a report and video tomorrow....too pooped right now. Thanks. I was surprised how much time it takes to put together such a short video. I plan to tinker with the various editing options on iMovie to see what else I can do in the future. I look forward to your trout video. My first visit to Midland Lake garnered the same opinion as yours. Tough to bank fish and a boat would be advantageous, but I guess you could say that about most bodies of water. Sounds like a road trip to the lake in Terre Haute might be an idea for the future. I did run into Chase as I was getting ready to pack up. I don't know if he had any luck, but I felt the bite was picking up just when I decided to head out.

My camera is still sitting here on the desk along with the clamp and head mount. I'll get to use them someday. I'm really hoping to be off this weekend but I don't see it happening. I remember when I edited down my videos from the Canada trip and it took a good while to get everything lined out. I didn't get fancy with it but the time sure flies by.

The editing part is what has prevented me from doing more stuff with my videos. I'm going to change that this year!
