Took Colt to school this morning and then went and met "Kipper Jim" at Shakamak. Think we might have just caught the tail end of the hot morning bite. I had 4 on the ice before Jim got both holes cut. I ended up with 12 and Jim 2, but he caught the biggest...a fatty just shy of 10 inches. The G&G horizontal was once again the hot jig. I'm gonna fry them up for supper tonight. It was cold out there this morning! Guess it was all the moisture in the air. A few of mine were nice 9+ inchers... Had something big on once, but it got off. Guessing channel cat. Kept getting bit at one point and finally hooked it and it was one of those infamous rockbass/warmouth/green sunfish.

How's your ice holding up Nice and THICK. I didn't measure it, but I'm guessing 10-12 inches. Nice little workout cutting holes!
