G'day guys, remember me, lol. Been a long time between posts I know. This is the first time I've been on here in a very long time. As such, I thought I'd give you guys a run down on what has happened on the hunting front here in Australia for me this year. More of a photo run down, I hate typing too much.
Year started off in February with a couple of foxes near a farmers house causing trouble
Always do some piggin when I can
Few goats in February too
34 incher
A trophy each for us on that trip
March saw the start of the deer season. I got this fella mid March one arvo
Then, in the morning on another property, I got this bloke, my best yet.
Still in March, did some state forest hunting where we have to wear blaze orange. Only got the one good boar
But, the state forest led me to a neighbouring block that I got access to, bonus. Pigs and red deer there.
Then in April, my brother came out for a hunt on the fallow - rutting time. Got this real old fella on the first arvo
He was real weird, look at those antlers
Then the barstard shot another cracker the following arvo
I took some friends out and they shot these cull heads for me, they were rapt.
Late April, I went back for a red stag next to that state forest - a 12 pointer, so stoked
June proved fruitless. I got tonsilitis on a 2 week Sambar deer hunt and only hunted for about 8 hours in 2 weeks, so pissed off I can tell ya.
July was way out west, about 16 hours drive north west from Sydney out in the channel country for pigs. This property was huge, 640,000 acres.
We slept under here for the week
We shot and dogged some good boars though
And we ate well - yabbies
More pigs. This was one unlucky boar. I hit him on the run with my 308 from 364 metres (rangefinder)
On our way home
Dogs were knackered
August I can't remember
Got this nice fella in September
youtube video of it too -
The missus now comes out for a hunt with me every now and then. The trail cam took this one - she had no idea it was there, haha
Young eater i shot with the missus
Went looking for pigs again on the red deer block. This is how I usually camp out there
Couple of these about - red belly black snake
Only shot the one pig and the red stags had cast their antlers, but I did find this. Hope are high for next year as I know the property better now
My brother came out again and we shot some goats in October
Then just last week, dad and I went away looking for pigs, but we only found rabbits. We stayed here
The resident python, which tried getting into dads sleeping bag on the first night, haha
We ended up with about 130 odd rabbits in a couple of days. I hadn't shot rabbits like that in years.
My old man's 69 and he still loves shooting bunnies when he can.

Still 6 weeks or so left in 2013 and I'm sure I'll get out and hunt some more if I can.
I hope you enjoy the different hunting pics for a change.
Cheers guys,
Donk.
