Got up early and made the trip to see rico and anglefish and get some fishing in. Got there and they had breakfast practically waiting on me . They got 6 inches of rain in 24 hrs so there was some doubt if we could even get back to the lake. Anyway after breakfast we made our way back there and had no problems other than having to bail water out of the boat. We finally got everything set and began to fish. We started catching crappie right off the bat nothing of real huge size but still nice fish they all went in. rico was messing with one of his other poles and something grabbed the slug he was drifting. I guess out of instinct I grabbed his rod and reeled in a 11-12in crappie, was a nice fish. We caught some nice gills in the 8 to 9inch range and rico got a 10inch redear. Got about 20 fish and quit for lunch at 11:30, that was round 1. We had a great lunch went to the tackle shop and returned for round 2 these fish was going home with me this time. The bite was slower but we managed to get 12 nice fish including another 10in redear that rico caught and I got another fat 11inch crappie. It was great weather the company was awesome the hospitality was 5 stars and the food was excellent! Enjoyed this allot! Thank you rico and Terri for a great visit! Here is the pics rico's 10inch redear 1st one of the day. my early big crappie One of my big fat 9inch gills. mess from round 1 mess from round 2
