My friend and I got out to our spot on the creek around 7:30 this morning. The water was down quite a bit from the last time and was super clear. My first cast I hooked up with a channel cat that was around four pounds. It put up a good fight and I was happy I had the braided line on my reel. I caught a couple of chunky rock bass. We both caught a couple of decent smallies. After a couple hours there we decided to head to Salt Creek just below the Monroe Dam. We both tried a few different lures, but didn't get any bites. I talked to a guy fishing just below the ripples coming out of the dam. He had a nice walleye on his stringer and I got some good info from him.

Nice! Looks like you've got a good new spot.
