The inaugural Wisconsin wolf season is nearing an end because hunters and trappers have already taken over 100 of their quota of 116 wolves... badgerherald.com/news/2012/12/03/wolf_hunt_may_soon_c.phpA WDNR conservation officer checks in a wolf... I can't confirm the authenticity of this one, but here's another story and photos that are floating around... These incredible photos were posted at Hiawatha Bar in Junction City. The hunter is 6'1". The wolf is 165lbs. The buck was shot as he was climbing down his stand to admire the wolf. Both harvested somewhere between Marathon City & Merrill. The hunter believes this to be the alpha male as it dwarfed in size the 5 others in the pack that gave him shot opportunities.Very impressive animals!!

I saw a couple of wolves in the show room at Hoosier Trapper Supply. I was surprised at how big they were.
