My aunt and grandpa had been catching alot of channels out of his pond on a trot line, up to 26 inches. So I decided I wanted to jug it I set 5 out baited with cheesy hot dogs, and bythe time I left one was already bouncing around. But when I pulled it up after letting it bounce around for a good 5 minutes, nothing The next morning I came back around 10:30, and my aunt said around 9 every single jug was bouncing around But when I got there, only 1 had a fish, and all the otheres were moved around and baitless. The one was a long thin 22 incher Two days before that, I went camping wit ha friend, we threw out a pole with some Sonny's Super Sticky while we were there. The way we fish it, is to stick the pole up in the mud, and stick a flashlight in the mud, pointing up at the tip. The flashlight was going dead, and there was twice where we weren't paying attention and Got up there to a dead flashlight and a baitless pole halfway in the water We got the flashlight going again ( by hitting it ) moved the pole closer to us, and quickly hooked up And then quickly hooked up again Sorry about the poor quality pictures, but I'd say the first one was a good 7-8 lbs, and the second was around 10 or so. right after that we hooked a dink, which swallowed the bait holder, and we ended up lsing the hook in the proces of trying to get it ut and we didn't have anymore. still a good night

Are you using circle hooks on your jugs? If not, these may help to increase hook ups. Or, you may have turtles messing with them

I think part of it may have been that it was a hook just shoved into the hot dog, and they were just peelin it off? It probably takes a hookeset to get the hook to rip through the hot dog. I don't know though
