Haven't been on here in a while but thought I'd post this up. It was a very warm year and basically all of the regular duck season sucked, never had many new ducks. But, after a real cold snap, this year the youth hunt in Alabama was on fire! I am lucky and didn't turn 16 until the week after the youth hunt, so I got one last shoot in. We killed 40 ducks in 2 days, mostly mallards, including a few pintails and a double banded black duck! One of the best hunts I've been on, and it was public land. Mainly all in flooded timber and off fingers between the timber.
