Haven't been on here in a while but thought I'd post this up. It was a very warm year and basically all of the regular duck season sucked, never had many new ducks. But, after a real cold snap, this year the youth hunt in Alabama was on fire! I am lucky and didn't turn 16 until the week after the youth hunt, so I got one last shoot in. We killed 40 ducks in 2 days, mostly mallards, including a few pintails and a double banded black duck! One of the best hunts I've been on, and it was public land. Mainly all in flooded timber and off fingers between the timber. This is my friend with the black duck.

WOW! That was an awesome 2 days! Congrats. Is the black duck getting mounted? That would look cool with the bands.
